Marrakech to Merzouga: 3-Day Desert Safari with Meals Included with Food

Start your trip by driving through the High Atlas Mountains with spectacular views beyond the Berber village towards the UNESCO world heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. Other than the monumental Kasbah, the village is also home to a fortified village which has been used as a set for many famous Hollywood epics and magazine photo shoots. After some free time, have lunch in a local restaurant and drive through Ouarzazate which is known as the ‘Gate of the Sahara’. The next stop is Boumalne Dades while admiring the scenic drive along the Dades Valley. From there, you will enjoy dinner and rest for the night at Kasbah in Dades or Kelaat Mgouna.

After breakfast, take the road downstream to Tinghir, stop at the dramatic canyons, and spend some time for free exploration at Todgha Gorges. Enjoy lunch at a local cafe, then continue to meet your camel caravan. You will experience the Erg Chebbi dunes on camelback and watch the sun go down. The goal is to reach your desert camp before nightfall. From there enjoy an authentic Moroccan dinner under the stars.

Traditional entertainment await for you, and you will learn local nomadic techniques of playing the Tam Tam drums. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

After an optional early breakfast, watching sunrise prior to it, a driver will be there to take you back to Marrakech. The route will also have a stop at a local restaurant for lunch. Return to the point of collection which is either Djemaa El Fna or the original departure point around 8 PM.
